I’ve said it many times, but I love when a bride uses what she loves! For Hannah, this was her gorgeous collection of blue and white ginger jars. She chose to feature these by using them together on two head tables to make a real impact - and she nailed it!
Beautiful items collected over lifetimes - I love them, and I love when a bride wants to use her favorite treasures at her wedding no matter what the item or trend may be.
I think we can all agree that 2020 was quite a challenge, but what I found as the year drew to a close was most people wanted to celebrate joy. Call it holiday cheer or Christmas magic - I call it joy.
A few months ago, my friend Janell of the Magnolia Bride team called to say she had a friend ready to open a new venue and would I be interested in helping with florals for a style shoot to promote the facility. An opportunity to be creative in a new venue with basically a blank slate?!?! Yes, please!
Sometimes you meet a bride who knows exactly what she wants. When I first met Sarah Williams (Mallette) and her sweet mom Gina, I knew this was going to be a fun wedding to plan because Sarah knew exactly what she wanted and her style was classic. Trends are great and can make events fresh and different, but classic is always in style.
Sometimes when you’re forced to change what you’ve dreamed of and carefully planned, it’s heartbreaking. However, in the end, it oftentimes works out even better and more memorable than you ever expected.
As a designer, I’m loving these home weddings! Focal points are taking center stage, creating backdrops and adding beauty to those special places where so many memories have already been made. The intimate feel is incredibly sweet and in the end, couples are still getting married and able to spend their lives as they intended – together!
What a beautiful day it was for Elise and Larry on June 4 in Pascagoula! They celebrated their wedding mass at Our Lady of Victories followed by a beautiful reception at The Grand Magnolia Ballroom. Working with their talented wedding planners, Janell and Kassie at Magnolia Bride, Elise perfected the classic white wedding look she was hoping for - with a touch of blue.
